Single split heat pumps may be the most convenient way of upgrading your home’s climate control.

Connect NZ is Auckland’s Premier installer of single split heat pumps systems. We supply and install heat pumps from Daikin, Fujitsu and Panasonic to ensure that you have a high quality, reliable system that is energy-efficient and long-lasting. We are here to walk you through the process of choosing the best heat pump for your home, to ensure that the results you get are not only tailored for your situation but exceed all expectations.

Single split heat pumps are popular due to a range of factors. Firstly, their installation process is relatively easy. Unlike other climate control solutions that require ductwork, a single split system only requires one 6cm opening per unit. This opening is used to connect the indoor and outdoor units. Once this is done, we just have to connect it to power, as well as choosing the best place in your home for the indoor and outdoor units to be mounted.

Depending on your heating needs, you may need multiple single split units to heat different areas of your home. This is because a single split system requires one outdoor unit for every indoor unit. This is unlike a multi-split system that can run multiple indoor units off one outdoor unit. But there are benefits to this. With multi-split units, the more indoor units you have running off the outdoor unit, the more inefficient the power consumption of the system becomes. This is especially true if you are choosing it to run at vastly different temperatures across the home. Therefore, there are scenarios where it is more efficient to have multiple single split system units, or if your heating needs are not too complex, a single unit may suffice.

Split systems are great for the small footprint they have in your home. They also have a range of different jackets that allow you to easily get them to fit the decor of your home.

They are quiet, far more energy-efficient than most heating systems, and generally are the obvious choice for most residential (and sometimes commercial) customers.

Connect NZ are experts in all things heat pumps. Whether it is single to multi-split systems, you can count on our knowledge to advise you on which system best suits your needs.
